The last year has been absolutely amazing for Cradle to Crib. Since our launch a year ago tomorrow, we've had such great feedback from our customers about what we're trying to achieve, and there's been huge support from the local community when it comes to promoting the business.
So proud to have been given flowers by the Mayor of Cheltenham for Most Innovative Business!
Some highlights from the past year have been:
We had a gorgeous day for it, and it was the first time the clothes had a chance to be put to the test. I'm very happy to say they passed with flying colours! The kids were all fantastic models and it ended up being a top day out and about.
It was also a great way to meet some amazing mums in Cheltenham. Mummy bloggers Steph from Stephloveshoney and Louise from Pink Pear Bear were both there with their gorgeous little ones. If you don't follow them already, definitely check them out - they're fab.
Stroud is such a great hub for eco-living, and it's amazing to see our little brand listed when you search for sustainable clothing! This year, Stroud. Tomorrow, the world. ;)
I met with the organiser of The Cotswold Baby & Toddler show last year, who invited me to display some clothes at the fashion show. I went on to book a stand and had a great time meeting everyone who came out! Such a great time, in fact, that I very nearly missed Cradle to Crib being called when they announced the awards! Luckily I had a great fellow vendor who looked after things while I made my way to the stage. It was such an honour to meet the Mayor of Cheltenham and be named Most Innovative Business.
This is a very exciting announcement for us, and while we have chosing the nappy company, we need to get a few things set up before announcing. Watch this space!
I musn't forget some of my personal milestones, as well - there is now a Mr. Cradle to Crib!
A toast to a long, happy life together.
I'm so fortunate this summer to have married my best friend, the person who inspires me to be my best, who supports me when times are hard, and who shares in all of my joys and sorrows. He's the hidden force behind Cradle to Crib and been my cheerleader every step of the way.
Getting married also meant welcoming family and friends, many of whom flew in from the US, Australia, and Europe. It was amazing how many people came to wish us well! We had a particular group of honoured guests - the very nieces and nephews who were my first guniea pigs for baby and toddler clothes!
Introducing the Stroud countryside to my brother's family
They're growing up quickly, but don't let that fool you - that tall girl out in front used to be my cheeky monkey model when she was just barely walking. They were so much fun, I'll miss showing them all about country life in the Cotswolds!
We have big plans for the next year, and the year after that for that matter. I'm so glad to share this milestone with all of you. Thank you for your support this past year!
